Description
Russo Property Management is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for their luxury property in East Brunswick, NJ. The ideal candidate will handle a variety of maintenance tasks including plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, and appliance repairs.
Position Responsibilities
- Complete all daily work orders within 24 hours
- Communicate any delays to the supervisor and management office
- Troubleshoot and repair maintenance issues involving electrical, plumbing, A/C, HVAC, appliances, and carpentry
- Work with leasing staff to ensure make-ready repairs and services are completed on schedule
- Respond to after-hours on-call emergencies
- Maintain accurate records for preventative maintenance, building mechanicals, service requests, and apartment make-ready status
- Stay current on all applicable building codes and safety standards
- Aid in trash removal and workshop inventory coordination
- Assist with snow removal during winter events
- Participate in weekday evening resident meetings
Requirements
- High School or GED education
- 1-3 years of direct experience working as a Maintenance Technician or related field
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliance maintenance, and snow removal
- Exceptional customer service and attention to detail
- Professional, courteous, and friendly demeanor
- Customer-first attitude
- Proactive self-starter and team-player
- Available for weekend inspections and weekday evening meetings
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents and staff
