About the role
The Maintenance Technician II performs advanced maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of manufacturing equipment and facility systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability. This role independently resolves equipment issues, minimizes downtime, and supports production efficiency. The position contributes to safe, compliant operations while supporting continuous improvement across maintenance activities.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and production equipment.
- Diagnose equipment issues and perform repairs independently to minimize downtime.
- Inspect equipment, identify faults, and implement effective solutions.
- Troubleshoot systems including motors, drives, PLCs, and control components as required.
- Interpret technical schematics, diagrams, and manuals.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and provide timely troubleshooting support to production teams.
- Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to resolve recurring issues.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and repair documentation.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and reliability.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required; technical training or certification preferred.
- 3–5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including PLCs, motors, and drives.
- Experience performing preventative and corrective maintenance.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Basic computer skills for maintenance systems (CMMS) and documentation.
Qualifications
- With or Without Reasonable Accommodation: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods; ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted; ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, heat, and moving equipment; ability to wear required PPE and safely operate tools and equipment.
Skills

- Basic computer skills for maintenance systems (CMMS) and documentation.
