Maintenance Technician - 1st Shift

About the role

Your main responsibility is to improve safety, quality, and efficiency by performing preventative, routine, and emergency mechanical and/or electrical maintenance and providing effective troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance to all plant machinery
• Carry out the preventative maintenance program for the plant
• Able to accept and control maintenance operations and communicate non-compliance problems to supervisor for instruction
• Identify and address safety concerns throughout the facility
• Maintain general housekeeping and organization of maintenance department and all equipment repair work areas
• Minimize downtime by continuously reviewing the operation of plant equipment and systems, anticipating and solving problems in a timely manner, and identifying opportunities for improvement

Requirements

• Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs through a quick and effective root cause analogy
• Able to accurately fill out documentation on work orders
• Able to perform emergency maintenance repairs to all plant machinery
• Knowledge of motor control systems, hydraulic systems, fire protection and mechanical bearing systems
• Ability to interpret blueprints to properly fabricate parts and equipment

Qualifications

• Ability to correctly retrieve and input data in computer using Excel and CMMS System
• Strong mechanical industrial knowledge and basic electrical knowledge
• Ability to operate motor control systems, hydraulic systems, pneumatics, hoists, fire protection and mechanical bearing systems
• Ability to comply with safety rules and requirements
• Experience operating metal working tools such as grinder, band saw, drill press, welding equipment, etc.

Skills

• Mechatronics certificate is strongly desired but not required

Pay

$25 - $32 per hour based on experience

Schedule

1st Shift - 4:30am to 3:pm - Monday through Friday (possible weekends)
