Maintenance Technician - 1st Shift

About the role

You will maintain and ensure the reliability of packaging equipment in compliance with cGMPs and Standard Operating Procedures, including facilitating equipment changeover activities. This is a 1st Shift position: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of packaging equipment.
• Assist packaging personnel in the changeover and operation of packaging equipment.
• Support Engineering in the implementation of projects and continuous improvement objectives.
• Set up and adjust equipment for different product sizes according to packaging line set-up sheets.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance, and provide input into improvements or additions to PM routines.
• Observe equipment in operation to diagnose problems affecting line performance and implement corrective action.
• Dismantle or partially dismantle equipment, perform repairs, replace broken or defective parts, and return equipment to operation.
• Prepare written specifications for major repair parts acquired through established vendors or machine shops.
• Recommend improvements for equipment operation and changeover.
• Collaborate with packaging operations to achieve maximum operating efficiency.
• Maintain clean work areas as required by FDA-cGMPs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or completed GED.
• Four (4) years’ experience working with automated controls and/or electromechanical manufacturing equipment.
• Willingness to comply with dress code regulations, undergo necessary training, and work in conditions with exposure to product, dust, grease, and packing machinery hazards.
