About the Role
As a Crescent Maintenance Technician, you will perform maintenance duties to meet all customer and team needs while upholding the Crescent Way—3 P’s: Purpose, Process, People. You will contribute to our culture of Doing it Right, Doing it Safe, and Doing it Well.
Responsibilities
- Safety
- Read and understand the Crescent Safety Playbook – Doing it Safe.
- Maintain a safe work environment and engage in the Safety Observation process.
- Complete maintenance tasks on time and correctly as assigned.
- Ensure all equipment operates safely and maintenance work is performed safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to the principle of leaving work areas better than found.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with equipment and setups.
- People
- Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting support.
- Assist in training personnel (FLO’s, Line Leaders, Machine Operators) on equipment interaction and operation.
- Communicate professionally and treat others with respect.
- Accept direction and delegation from leaders.
- Encourage ownership and build relationships with key Crescent team members.
- Productivity
- Identify and implement new uses of technology and equipment to improve flexibility and productivity.
- Participate in setups, ensuring they are completed correctly, safely, and on time.
- Complete all preventive maintenance (PM) tasks on schedule.
- Develop and share continuous improvement ideas.
- Communicate issues and opportunities to the Maintenance Leader.
- Quality
- Ensure equipment operates in a manner that produces quality products.
- Report suspected quality issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Participate in root cause analysis for quality issues and contribute to corrective actions.
- Consult with the Quality Leader and Operations leadership on new builds to ensure "quality at the source" design.
- Customer Value
- Complete all required PMs for Crescent and customer-owned equipment.
- Provide real-time support during customer trials, samples, and visits.
- Financial
- Specify, source, and select cost-effective equipment, spare parts, and services.
- Make informed decisions on repairing or replacing parts and equipment.
- Maintain a high level of personal productivity.

This role operates in a fast-paced environment requiring adaptability to continuous changes in schedules, volumes, staffing, and shift requirements.

Qualifications
- 1+ years’ experience in equipment maintenance.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in packaging systems maintenance.
- Familiarity with conveyor systems, drives, motors, printers, and label applicators.
- Basic troubleshooting skills.
Success Metrics
- Maintain production equipment safely.
- Improve productivity through idea generation and implementation.
Pay
$28 USD - $30 USD per hour.
