Responsibilities
- Perform, document, and track routine preventative maintenance on production equipment, facility systems, and related assets in accordance with established maintenance schedules and procedures.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair malfunctioning mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and facility systems to minimize downtime and support long-term equipment reliability.
- Install, maintain, and repair plumbing and electrical fixtures, production equipment, machinery components, furniture, kitchen equipment, and other facility-related assets as needed.
- Inspect, test, and verify electrical systems, circuits, equipment, and components to ensure proper operation and identify potential safety or reliability concerns.
- Cook up equipment repairs, spare parts ordering, technical support, and service scheduling with equipment manufacturers, suppliers, vendors, and outside contractors.
- Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, fabrication equipment, powered industrial trucks, and other tools or equipment required to safely complete assigned maintenance tasks.
- Perform general maintenance of buildings, machinery, grounds, parking areas, walkways, and other facility areas, including snow and ice removal support when required.
- Provide 24-hour emergency maintenance support when required to address urgent facility, equipment, or operational needs.
- Maintain a safe work environment by identifying and correcting hazards, using required personal protective equipment, following Lockout/Tagout procedures, and complying with applicable safety practices.
- Support facility housekeeping and organization standards, including 5S activities, floor cleaning, painting, and general upkeep of assigned work areas.
- Aid in continuous improvement initiatives by identifying maintenance-related opportunities, recommending practical solutions, and supporting implementation activities.
- Complete powered industrial truck site training, operation, inspection, and minor repairs as required by business needs and site procedures.
Requirements
- Technical certification, trade school training, or a minimum of three years of equivalent hands-on maintenance experience required.
- Experience performing electrical, mechanical, and plumbing maintenance in a manufacturing, industrial, or facilities environment preferred.
- Technical degree, vocational training, or related post-secondary education is a plus.
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems, carpentry, fabrication, and general building maintenance preferred.
- Proficiency with basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite, and ability to enter, retrieve, and maintain maintenance-related records preferred.
- Ability to safely operate mobile equipment, including forklifts, scissor lifts, skyjacks, and other powered or elevated work platforms as assigned.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and demonstrated ability to use basic hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and maintenance equipment.
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret work instructions, production documents, equipment manuals, engineering drawings, schematics, and bills of materials.
- Ability to apply common sense reasoning, sound judgment, and practical problem-solving skills when carrying out written or verbal instructions.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and pass any license check required by the company’s insurer.
- Ability to understand, communicate, and follow written and verbal instructions in English.

- Ability to tolerate extended periods of standing, walking, squatting, kneeling, bending, climbing, reaching, and working in confined or elevated areas as required.
- Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Visual requirements include close vision, color vision, depth perception, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus while performing maintenance tasks.
- General knowledge of workplace safety practices, hazard recognition, and safe equipment operation is preferred.
Work Environment
- Work is performed in a manufacturing and facilities environment with regular exposure to production machinery and moving equipment.
- Employee may be exposed to chemicals and must review and follow applicable Safety Data Sheets.
- Work areas may include dust, noise, vibration, temperature variations, and other typical manufacturing conditions.
- Protective clothing and equipment may be required based on assigned tasks, work area, and company safety procedures.
- Use of a computer, tablet, diagnostic device, or other electronic equipment may be required to complete maintenance documentation, communication, and troubleshooting activities.
