Maintenance Technician - 1st or 2nd Shift

About the role
Responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on facilities-related and manufacturing support equipment in a factory environment. Manages unplanned maintenance repairs and collaborates with stakeholders, including employees, vendors, and management. Provides maintenance expertise, mentoring, and leadership to ensure high service levels and results.
Responsibilities
- Identify and resolve facility and equipment issues (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, general mechanical applications, and equipment repair).
- Schedule outside services and conduct preventive maintenance.
- Manage unplanned facilities, equipment, and machine repair requests.
- Repair or replace facilities equipment and machine parts as needed.
- Operate with urgency and a focus on safety.
- Communicate effectively with management, employees, and vendors.
- Drive completion of time-sensitive tasks independently.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience in a factory maintenance environment.
- Experience in the electrical field is required.
- Experience with HVAC systems, heat treat systems, or manual/CNC machining is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational school or college program certificate is a plus (experience may substitute for education).

- Technical capacity in mechanical, electronic, or HVAC systems.

- Knowledge of lockout/tagout procedures.

Physical Demands
The role requires regular standing, walking, and use of hands to operate tools and equipment. Frequent reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling is necessary. Occasional seated work, climbing, balancing, and smelling may be required. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move 75–100 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, as well as the ability to adjust focus.
