Maintenance Technician, 12-hour Shifts 2-2-3

About the Role

The Maintenance Technician will work 12-hour shifts on a 2-2-3 schedule, reporting to the Maintenance Manager at the Johnson City, TN Manufacturing Plant. This role requires a highly motivated individual who can work safely in accordance with OSHA standards, both independently and cooperatively with others. The technician must plan and execute work to meet deadlines, efficiently serving clients and contributing to Crown's success.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and modify Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
• Work with HVAC controls and building automation systems
• Maintain familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, electrical control systems, and instrument loops
• Perform basic instrument calibrations and apply Metrology practices
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical or mechanical failures of production machines and facilities equipment
• Operate and maintain manufacturing/packaging machinery, including installation of new and used equipment
• Work with engineering drawings, electrical schematics, engineering flow diagrams, basic shop math, and machine shop skills
• Apply knowledge of cGMP practices

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years of strong electrical background in troubleshooting motor controls
• Preferred: Two-year certificate from a technical college or vocational school
• Preferred: Experience in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret SOPs, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions
• Basic shop math skills for calculations, machine adjustments, and reading prints
• Problem-solving abilities for practical issues
• Basic computer skills with knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, Documentation, ADP, and internet tools

Skills

• Metal fabrication and welding experience preferred
• Knowledge of cGMP practices
