Maintenance Technician, 12-hour Shifts 2-2-3 (7PM-7AM)

About the Role

The Maintenance Technician will work 12-hour shifts on a 2-2-3 schedule (7PM-7AM) at our Johnson City, TN manufacturing plant. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role requires a highly motivated individual who can work safely in accordance with OSHA standards, both independently and cooperatively. The technician must plan and execute work efficiently to meet deadlines, serving our clients and contributing to Crown's success.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and modify Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
• Work with HVAC controls and building automation systems
• Maintain familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, electrical control systems, and instrument loops
• Perform basic instrument calibrations and apply Metrology practices
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical or mechanical failures in production machines and facilities equipment
• Operate and install manufacturing/packaging machinery
• Work with engineering drawings, electrical schematics, engineering flow diagrams, and basic shop math
• Apply knowledge of cGMP practices
• Perform metal fabrication and welding tasks (preferred)

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years of strong electrical background in troubleshooting motor controls
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Documentation, ADP, internet tools)
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret SOPs, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions
• Basic shop math skills for machine adjustments, control charts, and reading prints
• Problem-solving abilities for practical issues

Preferred Qualifications

• Two-year certificate from a technical college or vocational school
• Experience in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry
• Metal fabrication and welding experience
