Responsibilities

  • Repairs and maintains machinery equipment such as injection molding machines, motors, tools, conveyors and grinding systems.
  • Reviews manufacturers’ service manuals, maintenance schedules, and records of maintenance problems to determine optimum frequency of preventive maintenance.
  • Studies production and operation schedules and confers with other staff to determine when planned maintenance will least interfere with operation of establishment.
  • Estimate labor hours, parts, and supplies to be used during scheduled maintenance.
  • Maintains records of planned and completed maintenance on all company assets individually.
  • Aids in development and coordination of plans for reconstruction or installation of new equipment, machinery, or buildings.
  • Initiates purchase orders for replacement parts and supplies.
  • Works to continuously improve skills and capabilities relating to Maintenance techniques.
  • Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

Requirements

  • Education & Experience: Minimum of associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college of technical school; or minimum of eight (8) years related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  • Mental Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Other Skills & Abilities: Must maintain valid forklift driver's license.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly stands; uses hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reaches with hands and arms; talks or hears.
  • Frequently lifts and/or moves up to 25 lbs.; occasionally lifts or moves up to 100 lbs.
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 lbs.

Work Environment

  • Near moving mechanical parts.
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Pay Range: $33.00 - $40.00 per hour (Pay to be determined by the experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the candidate, and alignment with market data).
