About the role

This position will assist journeymen-level mechanical maintenance craftsmen in routine maintenance work as well as performing many duties independently. Responsibilities

• Pump repair and replacement
• Repacking pumps and valves
• Rigging
• Repairing mechanical drive systems and rotating assemblies
• Bearing installation, maintenance, and replacement
• Replacing motors, valves, and gaskets
• Replacing and repairing cylinders
• Production machine/equipment maintenance
• Rotating equipment maintenance
• Reading and interpreting blueprints, tables, graphs, and diagrams
• Following industrial safety procedures and using safety equipment
• Working with gear reducers and oil seals
• Basic welding
• Forklift operation
• Gears, roll repair, and replacement
• Hydraulics and pneumatics
• Knowledge of mobile equipment and product moving systems
• Installing screw pipe and tubing
• Steel fabrication and pipefitting
• Maintenance-related computers and software
• Facility maintenance and repairs
• Servicing vehicles

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age
• Minimum high school graduate, GED, or equivalent work experience
• Eligible for employment in the US
• One (1) year experience in any of the following Maintenance Skill Areas: Millwright, Machinist, Lubrication, Welding, Automotive Maintenance, or Pipefitting; OR one (1) year vocational/technical education in the same disciplines
• Willingness to meet the following requirements:
  • Work in industrial conditions (may be warm/hot, dusty/dirty, around hazardous chemicals, noise, heavy machinery, elevated working surfaces, and confined spaces with proper safety training and protection)
  • Undergo a drug screen for illicit use of drugs as a condition of employment
  • Undergo a job-related health assessment as a condition of employment
  • Submit to periodic drug screens as a condition of employment
  • Work any shift and/or a rotating shift schedule
  • Work overtime on a regular basis and with last minute notification
  • Work holidays and/or weekends on a regular basis
  • Wear required safety equipment

Qualifications

It is preferred that candidates have the following skills and/or experience:

• Associates degree or certification(s) in any IP Core Maintenance Skills or related disciplines (Millwright, Machinist, Lubrication, Welding, Automotive Maintenance, or Pipefitting)
• Relevant work experience in an industrial environment

Pay

Pay Rate: $33.58 per hour

Schedule

Night shift - 12 hours rotating, 7pm-7am, plus overtime as needed
