Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensures production and facility equipment is working at all times.
- Installs, troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains all equipment.
- Fulfills preventive maintenance schedules and follows existing protocols including building maintenance.
Essential Duties, Responsibilities And Competencies
- Performs record keeping, data entry, housekeeping, and complies with safety regulations.
- Displays general knowledge in mechanics, pneumatics, and electric drives.
- Effectively performs various duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
- Maintains inventory of repair parts and supplies.
- Conducts machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance service.
- Provides emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and conducts scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
- Performs mechanic skills including but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines.
- Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Troubleshoots and diagnoses mechanical, electrical, or plumbing issues, replaces, or repairs parts, tests, and makes necessary adjustments.
- Uses a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
- Absorbs and complies with all safety regulations and maintains a clean and orderly work area.
- Complies with all company policies and procedures including safety guidelines and practices.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Preference given for maintenance experience.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to stand, use hands, finger, handle, feel, communicate, and listen.
- Occasionally required to walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Must be able to walk on concrete for long periods of time, lift up to 50lbs., and can climb ladders, and operate forklifts.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and depth perception.
Training Required
- Training requirement shall be in accordance with Mac Fastener Training Matrix.
Compensation
- The expected pay range for this position is $22.80 to $27.20.
