Join our team in Cambridge, OH as a Maintenance Technician on the 2nd shift (2pm-10pm, Monday through Friday).
About the role
Ensure robust operation of equipment through preventative maintenance and continuous improvement. Collaborate with a tenured team of leaders and peers for support, training, and growth opportunities in a supportive and collaborative culture.
Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance of all equipment.
- Assist in the implementation of new equipment and equipment improvements.
- Perform thorough work and follow through on repairs using feedback from internal customers.
- Communicate with other maintenance personnel and line workers to solve equipment issues and implement sustainable solutions.
- Diagnose failed components and safely work on voltages up to 480V.
- Properly use a digital voltmeter (DVM).
- Coordinate equipment updates and operational issues with off-shift maintenance personnel and other team members.
- Apply knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, safety controllers, and other automation tools to improve plant automation efforts.
- Attend outside training and seminars for continual education.
- Complete a hands-on skills test.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Intermediate to advanced mechanical skills, including rebuilding equipment components.
- Experience performing preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Basic understanding of facility equipment in support of facility engineering.
- Basic electrical troubleshooting on 480V and below.
- Basic PLC troubleshooting (no programming required).
- Ability to read and apply electrical and mechanical schematics.
- Ability to pass a hands-on skills test.
