Maintenance Tech / Engineering

Provide maintenance, room care, and necessary repairs for all aspects of the hotel and conference center. Maintain a clean, attractive, and secure place to stay with friendly and attentive service. Respond to guest requests as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair property systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing tasks
• Locate and correct in-room heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) malfunctions; adjust HVAC units and perform system/control checks
• Repair and/or replace all types of plumbing equipment
• Perform systematic checks on all suite room electrical appliances and circuits; repair most in-room defaults
• Handle in-house repairs, including removing/replacing bathroom tile, painting, repairing wallboard, wall vinyl, and carpentry
• Utilize basic hand and power tools required for general maintenance
• Complete preventative maintenance checklists and other maintenance records
• Maintain tools, workspaces, equipment, property exterior, and grounds to ensure cleanliness
• Familiarize with all major shut-off stations, including water, electric, and fire alarm stations
• Maintain security for guests and property by ensuring room doors are locked, keys are controlled, lost/found articles are logged and stored securely, and reporting suspicious activity
• Observe all security and safety regulations

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Technical training school (with emphasis on HVAC, electrical, and plumbing) preferred but not required
• Hotel maintenance experience preferred

Physical Requirements
