General Responsibility
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to include troubleshooting, installation, repair and maintenance of production equipment in a safe and timely manner.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Maintains machines individually or with peer assistance to complete tasks effectively.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic and/or electrical problems and make proper corresponding repairs in a safe, efficient and timely manner.
- Document and implement work orders to track machine issues and completed work.
- Proficient in all safety and housekeeping requirements.
- Responsible for training new technical associates as required.
Job Qualifications And Requirements
- Minimum of one-year stable verifiable work history required.
- Demonstrated mechanical capability and a minimum of three-years’ experience in a technical related field required.
- Technical certificate preferred.
- High school diploma/GED required.
- Must possess strong mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and/or electrical knowledge and experience.
- Must possess basic math skills.
- Must have working knowledge of hand and small power tools.
- Must be a good listener and have the ability to receive instructions over two-way radios, and other communication devices.
- Must possess good communication skills to ensure that clear and concise information is communicated as required.
- Must be able to read and interpret equipment manuals, document and implement work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Must be a self-starter, self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Must be able to multi-task.
- Must be able to become certified on operating a forklift, scissor lift, snorkel lift and overhead crane.
