Maintenance Technician

Vantive is a vital organ therapy company dedicated to extending lives and expanding possibilities. This role is essential for maintaining automated production machinery to ensure smooth operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Works in a safe manner and adheres to all plant safety programs.
• Performs equipment relocations, crating/uncrating, mechanical adjustments, identifying and ordering spare parts, documenting work, cleaning up, attending relevant training and meetings.
• Participates in projects and upgrades.
• Understands technical drawings and schematics.
• Collaborates with suppliers to resolve technical issues.
• Troubleshoots repairs and interfaces with robots (electrical).
• Troubleshoots using PLC systems (Siemens, Allen Bradley, etc) (electrical).
• Learns component-level repair of obsolete control components (electrical).
• Troubleshoots/repairs vision systems, photo-eye sensors, limit switches, proximity switches, temperature controllers, variable speed drives, motors, servos, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, ultrasonic and RF plastic welders, leak detection systems, and electrical systems up to 480V, 3-phase (electrical).
• Knowledge of machining techniques/processes including manual milling, turning, grinding, welding, CNC machine setup, programming, and operation (machine shop personnel).
• Addresses walk-in customer needs (machine shop personnel).
• Knowledge of mold repair, teardown, assembly, and cleaning; learning mold shop equipment and maintenance methods (mold shop personnel).
• Knowledge of safe best practices for PIT operation and repair; understanding of battery usage and handling procedures; basic understanding of forklift repair methods (forklift maintenance personnel).

Job Requirements

• Minimum HS Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Technical Associates degree (2 year) preferred.
• Preferred 3 years of applicable experience/demonstrated skill required.
• Required 2 years as a Production Technician or Auxiliary.
• Experience with basic hand tools.
• Knowledge of electrical and pneumatic diagrams, knowledge of hydraulics preferred.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively under stressful conditions.
• Ability to work with limited supervision.

Physical/Safety Requirements

• Duties may require overtime work, including nights and weekends.
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• Able to climb ladders.
• Able to stand and work at two-hour minimum intervals.
• Work in tight spaces.
• Position requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
