Responsibilities
- Diagnosing and repairing issues related to infrastructure and utilities
- Conducting emergency repairs
- Installing new devices in compliance with safety standards and policies
- Monitoring utility systems such as compressed air and emergency power
- Performing general upkeep tasks like painting and cleaning
- Ensuring all activities meet regulatory and accreditation requirements
- Accurate record keeping of maintenance activities, costs, and inventory
- Cooking with hospital staff, vendors, and facilities leadership to minimize disruptions
- Promoting safety by following OSHA, infection control, and building code requirements
- Day-to-day abilities include a strong working knowledge of OSHA standards and practical application of protocols such as lock-out/tag-out, hot work, and confined space procedures
- Proficiency in diagnostics, repairs, and installations is essential
- A clear understanding of healthcare regulatory standards, including Life Safety, Environment of Care, State Fire Marshal codes, and IRS asset management principles
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED
- One year of relevant maintenance experience
- Must be enrolled in an INTEGRIS Health-approved apprentice program within 6 months of hire
