What Will You Do?
- Trouble shoot, diagnose malfunctions, and perform advanced repairs of all equipment, welding equipment, fabrication machinery, building and grounds while keeping the facility in compliance with government and environmental regulations
- Assist with preventative maintenance program for all capital equipment
- Assist with records of planned and actual service dates and materials used
- Generate requisitions for all needed materials or equipment pertaining to building and maintenance
- Absorb inspection records of all fabrication tools issued to shop personnel, safety harness equipment, lifting equipment, welding equipment, fabrication machinery, building and grounds
- Perform fire evacuation, disaster response plan, and plant shut down operations
- Be familiar with current procedures for Hazardous waste materials handling and storage
- Must be able to pass hazardous material handling safety training per DOT HM
- Must be able to pass fall protection equipment inspection safety training per NFPA 70E
- Maintain current state electrical license
- Perform wiring of buildings or equipment to conform to commercial electrical codes
- Direct and inspect electrical work performed by other maintenance technicians
- Additional duties as assigned
Your Physical Work Environment Will Require
- Required to work at elevated heights up to 75ft
- This position is classified as safety sensitive
- Due to the use of heavy machinery, power tools, and/or exposure to potentially hazardous conditions, the role requires heightened awareness and adherence to all safety protocols
- Employees must be able to perform duties in a manner that ensures their own safety and the safety of others in the workplace
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- State Electrical License
- Five years’ work experience with troubleshooting and maintenance of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
- Must have industrial experience in a fabrication environment
- Education may be substituted by extended experience but must maintain a current electrical license
