Maintenance Tech

What Will You Do?

• Trouble shoot, diagnose malfunctions, and perform advanced repairs of all equipment, welding equipment, fabrication machinery, building and grounds while keeping the facility in compliance with government and environmental regulations
• Assist with preventative maintenance program for all capital equipment
• Assist with records of planned and actual service dates and materials used
• Generate requisitions for all needed materials or equipment pertaining to building and maintenance
• Absorb inspection records of all fabrication tools issued to shop personnel, safety harness equipment, lifting equipment, welding equipment, fabrication machinery, building and grounds
• Perform fire evacuation, disaster response plan, and plant shut down operations
• Be familiar with current procedures for Hazardous waste materials handling and storage
• Must be able to pass hazardous material handling safety training per DOT HM
• Must be able to pass fall protection equipment inspection safety training per NFPA 70E
• Maintain current state electrical license
• Perform wiring of buildings or equipment to conform to commercial electrical codes
• Direct and inspect electrical work performed by other maintenance technicians
• Additional duties as assigned

Your Physical Work Environment Will Require

• Required to work at elevated heights up to 75ft
• This position is classified as safety sensitive
• Due to the use of heavy machinery, power tools, and/or exposure to potentially hazardous conditions, the role requires heightened awareness and adherence to all safety protocols
• Employees must be able to perform duties in a manner that ensures their own safety and the safety of others in the workplace

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• State Electrical License
• Five years’ work experience with troubleshooting and maintenance of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
• Must have industrial experience in a fabrication environment
• Education may be substituted by extended experience but must maintain a current electrical license
