Maintenance Tech

About the role

The Maintenance Technician position within the apartment community is looking for a skilled individual who can take pride in their work, solve problems, and work within a team environment. This role involves a variety of tasks including HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical/appliance repair, and machinery maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Repairs and cleans HVAC systems
• Replaces and installs plumbing fixtures and parts
• Repairs and installs doors, shelves, countertops, locks, etc.
• Performs drywall/plaster repairs and painting
• Replaces lighting, wiring, power circuits, and switches
• Maintains chillers, belts, pumps, fans, and other machinery
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• At least 1-2 years of experience in commercial property or multi-unit residential property
• A high school diploma or GED, with 3-4 years of experience potentially offsetting the minimum educational requirement
• Prior certifications in HVAC, Electrical, or Plumbing are preferred
• Valid driver's license may be required based on property needs
• Self-motivated, team-player, strong communication, interpersonal, attention to detail, customer service, and personal accountability skills
• Ability to work weekends - Saturdays and Sundays
• Computer and smartphone literacy required
• Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• 3-4 years of experience can offset minimum educational requirements
• Prior certifications in HVAC, Electrical, or Plumbing are preferred
