Maintenance Tech - 2nd Shift
Job Summary
Maintenance is responsible for keeping both the physical facility as well as the production equipment in good working order. A qualified candidate must also be equipped with a good understanding of basic mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems and be able to support internal and external resources in completing various maintenance projects.
Major Responsibilities/Activities
- Reading and interpreting engineering blueprints.
- Servicing and maintaining equipment including motors, hydraulic systems, transmission systems, and production-related equipment.
- Servicing and maintaining the facility including wiring, painting, landscaping, and general repairs.
- Inspecting and assessing the functionality of production machines.
- Troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns.
- Adjusting mechanical parts using hand and machine tools.
- Fabricating parts for repairs and machine upgrades.
- Conducting routine maintenance and safety checks.
- Communicating with the production team and maintaining a clean work area.
- Conduct activities by adhering to established procedures and approved processes.
- Capacity to develop knowledge of manufacturing methods, techniques, and related equipment and be able to apply this knowledge to the completion of work as assigned.
- Must promote a safe work environment and uphold all safety policies.
- Carry out all job duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent with at least five years of industrial manufacturing experience.
- Or completed documented formal training resulting in the candidate having obtained a certificate or degree in a related industrial or facilities maintenance field.
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems maintenance.
- Advanced experience working with 480V power systems.
- Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and any recent updates.
- Advanced understanding of: motor controls, AC and DC circuits, PLC ladder logic, and basic programming of PLCs.
- Ability to bend, install and thread conduit sizes ½” – 4.
- Read blueprints and schematics.
- Intermediate experience with operating lathes, mills, and other machining equipment.
- Basic computer and report writing skills.

- Must be able to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and easily adapt to changing situations.
- Perform general math calculations.
Essential Physical Functions
- Be able to safely lift or move at least 50lbs.
- Be able to safely climb stairs or a ladder.
- Be able to work at heights exceeding 10ft. above grade.
Equipment Used
Tools and equipment along with specialized training if needed will be provided as required.
Hours
Monday - Thursday, 4 PM to 2:30 AM CST
