About the Role

As a Maintenance Technician at Engineered Products, you will maintain, repair, and troubleshoot industrial equipment and machinery within our facility. The ideal candidate will ensure safe and efficient operations in our continuous production facilities, maximizing space and operational capabilities while minimizing costs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs on roll forming mills, punch presses, coil handling equipment, milling machines, wire EDM machines, robot cells (ABB), press brakes, and hydraulic & pneumatic systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on equipment using diagnostic tools.
  • Execute preventive maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability and lifespan; follow scheduled routines and document tasks.
  • Assist with setup, calibration, and adjustment of machinery to meet production specifications and safety standards.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and best practices; report and address safety hazards or non-compliance issues promptly.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance; prepare and update logs and reports.
  • Work closely with production staff to address equipment performance issues and provide technical support.
  • Collaborate with maintenance team members to share knowledge and enhance overall maintenance practices.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting and implementing process improvements and new maintenance techniques.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required or equivalent combination of industrial experience and education.
  • Technical training in an accredited technical school or equivalent, with certification in one or more of the following: industrial math, industrial electrical, or instrumentation strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge or experience with medium-voltage systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with safety standards and practices in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge in the installation, maintenance, and repairs of common mechanical systems found in an industrial manufacturing facility that requires instrumentation.
  • Ability to read and understand labels, blueprints, schematics, job site maps/directions, instruction manuals, and/or written instructions accurately.

Work Environment

  • Regularly works around moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat, and humidity.
  • Noise level may be loud at times.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue.
  • Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina.
  • Must be able to lift 50 or more pounds at a time.
