Maintenance Tech - 2nd Shift

Major Function

To assist and provide hands-on maintenance support to all areas in order to maintain effective and efficient maintenance of production machinery, material handling equipment, and the general plant and its utilities.

Essential Functions

• Hands-on machine maintenance support including electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems troubleshooting and repair.
• Hands-on plant maintenance support including utilities and structure.
• Performs the scheduled preventative/predictive maintenance program to its specifications and guidelines.
• Affords assistance in special plant improvement programs.
• Affords assistance in the manufacture, assembly, and installation of machine or plant upgrades.
• Responsible for keeping accurate information on a project or repair work order including problem, remedy, labor, parts and downtime incurred in a legible, specific format.
• May be required to travel for maintenance or production reasons.
• Promotes company’s safety efforts and maintains a safe working environment for employees.
• Performs other tasks as required.

Education

High school education.

Prerequisites For The Job

• Minimum 3 years experience in the industrial maintenance field.
• Strong mechanical background.
• Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic control systems and their operation and application.
• General plumbing and plant maintenance.
• Ability to read a schematic and/or blueprint.
• Welding/cutting/fabrication experience.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations a plus.

Work Hours

Sunday - Thursday 2:30 pm - 10:30 pm
