Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the maintenance team to support safe, efficient, and reliable manufacturing operations.
- Drive equipment reliability and plant productivity by implementing preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues and provide technical guidance to maintenance personnel.
- Establish maintenance priorities, assign work, and manage shift schedules to maximize team effectiveness.
- Oversee the inspection, maintenance, and repair of facility systems and infrastructure, including boilers, gas lines, lift trucks, elevators, sprinkler systems, and building structures.
- Manage the facility's wastewater treatment operations and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Maintain inventory levels of maintenance tools, parts, and supplies necessary for effective operations.
- Support engineering and capital improvement projects by coordinating equipment installations, contractor activities, and maintenance-related purchases.
- Manage service agreements and relationships with outside contractors and vendors.
- Partner with Plant Leadership and Human Resources to promote employee engagement, accountability, and performance.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, GMP, Food Safety, and company safety standards.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and workplace safety.
Requirements
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related technical field preferred but not required.
- 5–10 years of maintenance leadership experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of: Mechanical and electrical systems, Pneumatics and hydraulics, Welding and fabrication, Plumbing, HVAC, and construction systems, Wastewater treatment operations.
- Experience leading maintenance teams, coordinating projects, and managing contractor relationships.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot equipment failures and implement long-term corrective actions.
- Strong understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance principles.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental compliance, and food manufacturing standards is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems (CMMS preferred).
- Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and lead effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
