Maintenance Supervisor, Multifamily
Provides maintenance support and is accountable for delivering on commitments to residents, including quality move-ins, resident satisfaction, timely service, and personal attention.
Responsibilities
- Prepares all market-ready apartments, which may include painting, carpet cleaning/repair, general repairs, and housekeeping to ensure a quality product for residents.
- Completes resident service requests in a timely manner.
- Performs maintenance functions including plumbing, pool maintenance, air conditioning, heating, general carpentry, appliance repair, electrical work, painting, caulking, snow removal, scheduling, and addressing life safety issues.
- Maintains grounds, pools/hot tubs, common areas, and dog parks to keep them clean, free of trash, debris, and safety hazards.
- Performs on-call emergency procedures as required.
- Reports maintenance issues affecting the budget, such as life safety concerns, vacant repairs, property damages, and common area needs to the manager.
- Schedules and performs preventative maintenance and records activities.
- Ensures knowledge of state, local, and federal housing laws, codes, policies, and systems regarding maintenance.
- Attends and participates in training programs as required by Cushman & Wakefield and local jurisdictions.
- Provides superior customer service and represents the company professionally at all times.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or Trade/Technical/Vocational school education.
- 3+ years of related experience.
- EPA 608 – Minimum Type II certification (or CPO, or local city-required certificate).
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Ability to work any shift Sunday-Saturday to support business needs.
- Knowledge of safe use of cleaning agents and equipment.
- Basic math skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, including whole numbers, fractions, and decimals; ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and interpret bar graphs.
- Must follow all Cushman & Wakefield safety policies and procedures.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Regularly required to travel outside between properties in varying weather conditions.
Physical Demands
- May need to stand and walk for extended or continuous periods of time.
- Able to ascend and descend staircases, ladders, and/or step stools.
- May be required to travel outside between buildings in varying outdoor weather conditions.
- Regularly required to remain in a stationary position (sit or stand) for 85% of the time and operate office machinery.
- Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time (frequency and duration may vary).
- Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, frequently, or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects.
Pay
$29.75 - $35.00 per hour.
