Maintenance Supervisor in Training
Job Summary
Weinstein Properties, a company founded by the Weinstein family over 70 years ago, manages over 60 apartment communities across multiple states. We seek a Maintenance Supervisor in Training to join our dynamic team in Nashville, TN.
About the Role
You will be working and training alongside a supervisor and a full maintenance team. This position requires future flexibility to potentially transfer to a supervisor role in another Nashville community. In this role, you will manage and coordinate a service team to ensure all upkeep, inventory, and repairs are completed efficiently. You will also work as part of the team to perform various maintenance tasks, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, drywall, exterior structural, and appliance repairs. You will schedule and directly supervise in-house and vendor work, and share on-call responsibilities with other team members.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate activities of a service team to ensure all upkeep, inventory, and repairs are completed efficiently.
- Diagnose problems and make repairs in areas such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, dry walling, exterior structural, and appliances.
- Schedule and directly supervise all in-house and/or vendor work.
- Share on-call responsibilities with other team members.
- Follow professional maintenance practices, use quality control, and adhere to policies and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with the team to maintain high occupancy levels and maximize rents through excellent customer service.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years trade-related experience with at least 1 year of hands-on apartment maintenance lead, assistant, or supervisory experience.
- Strong working knowledge of all aspects of building maintenance including electrical, plumbing, appliance repairs, interior/exterior maintenance, and carpentry.
- EPA/CFC Refrigerant certification (Type I and II or Universal).
- Hands-on HVAC repair experience required.
- Computer skills: use business software to assign and manage work orders, schedule turns, order supplies, and communicate via email.
- Valid driver's license, transportation, and tools required.

Compensation
- Starting at $27 per hour, depending on experience.
- On Call Bonus - $150 per week (calls or no calls) plus additional $150 per holiday on call bonus.
