About the role
This position supervises High Voltage I&E Technicians, HVAC Technicians, and Motor Maintenance I&E Technicians, overseeing planning, scheduling, training, and work execution.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates strong safety culture through personal behavior and commitment to environmental, health & safety.
- Participates in the PACE culture of safety and maintains protection of the environment and employee health and safety.
- Ensures reliability of the work site and high-quality product through attention to detail and dedication.
- Supervises, evaluates, and supports I&E Technicians to improve skills and meet plant and division goals.
- Coordinates, plans, and schedules I&E maintenance activities for optimal manpower and resource utilization.
- Analyzes and controls maintenance costs to minimize production expenses.
- Ensures accurate time cards, material requisitions, work plans, and schedules are utilized.
- Organizes and conducts safety meetings, audits, and incident/accident investigations.
- Develops, evaluates, and implements preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Maintains equipment and maintenance histories.
- Oversees the plant-wide power system from 34.5 KV to 480 V Switchgear.
- Manages all HVAC system and chiller maintenance.
- Responsible for motor testing and motor management.
Requirements
- High school diploma required, plus completion of an approved Instrument/Electrical course.
- Minimum of 5 years of plant experience.
- Good working knowledge of equipment, materials, techniques, and safeguards in maintenance and construction of a continuous process chemical plant.
- Proven supervisory and administrative skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Windows.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and departments to explain problems and propose solutions.
- Strong ability to impact, influence, and persuade others.
Physical Demands
- Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, climb, kneel, squat/bend, push/pull, and use hands to touch, handle, or feel.
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
- Moderate noise levels when working inside; may require PPE (safety glasses, hearing protection) in operating units.
- Exposure to outside elements and may require usage of stairs.
- Occasional travel may be required.
