Maintenance Supervisor - Full Time - RNC

Working team member who performs or oversees preventive and corrective maintenance of the building, fixed and portable equipment, minor construction, and equipment installation. Schedules all critical Life Safety inspections. Reports to the Manager of Maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with department and facility leadership to plan, develop, organize, and implement the day-to-day activities and functions of the Maintenance Department.
  • Provide leadership and functional direction to maintenance staff.
  • Assist maintenance staff with general maintenance work.
  • Ensure all preventive maintenance programs for the building and facility are maintained.
  • Provide monthly reports to the Director of Plant Operations.
  • Train assigned staff in proper maintenance techniques, new equipment, and new products.
  • Make daily rounds to monitor staff and facility work or projects.
  • Ensure all safety protective devices are in place on all power equipment daily.
  • Understand and comply with applicable regulations, codes, and MVHS policies.
  • Diagnose system malfunctions on mechanical and/or electrical equipment.
  • Dismantle, repair, or replace defective parts; reassemble, test, and install repaired equipment.
  • Perform and document scheduled inspections and electrical safety tests to maintain code compliance.
  • Complete repairs and document services rendered.
  • Respond to emergency repair calls; available for weekend or holiday coverage as needed.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment; recommend improvements for safety, resident care, or cost reduction.
  • Obtain quotes and pricing from vendors for special projects; complete purchase requisitions.
  • Partner with leadership and HR on performance management, hiring, transfers, corrective actions, and terminations.
  • Resolve staff issues and grievances fairly and consistently in partnership with HR.
  • Collaborate with leadership, staff, residents, and families using strong customer service skills.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 5 years of related maintenance experience.
  • Ability to lead project teams.
  • Ability to perform or learn routine repairs in machinery, plumbing, carpentry, etc.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient with MS Office tools, email, and able to learn new software.
  • New York State driver’s license, subject to insurance carrier approval.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in a healthcare-related field.

Pay

$22.00 - $35.00 per hour

Schedule

  • Full-time, non-union, 8.5-hour day shifts.
