Responsibilities
- Schedule and assign team members to complete maintenance tasks.
- Maintain workflow by monitoring team members and resources; implementing lean principles; monitoring reporting procedures and systems; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
- Accomplish maintenance results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, identifying and coordinating training needs; appraising job results; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing policies and procedures.
- Use a CMMS, such as Limble, to manage and track maintenance work.
- Prepare and submit CAPEX requests.
- Maintain staff by training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees.
- Perform annual reviews for all direct reports.
- Ensure proper operation of equipment by issuing and completing work orders.
- Interact with other managers, supervisors, and production workers on maintenance issues.
- Ensure a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing team members on the proper use of equipment and resources; maintaining compliance with established environmental and safety policies and procedures.
- Improve professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices.
- Interact tactfully and courteously with employees, vendors, and contractors.
- Maintain housekeeping and 6S standards.
- Identify quality issues and attain established productivity standards.
- Perform related responsibilities as required or directed.
- Apply Leader Standard Work principles to maintain process discipline, drive continuous improvement, and support team accountability.
