Maintenance Supervisor

About the role
The Maintenance Supervisor coordinates all office and facility improvements or repairs across assigned territories in Minnesota or Iowa. This role supervises and manages a team of maintenance personnel to ensure the smooth operation of Ziegler facilities.
Responsibilities
- Monitor building repairs and maintenance tasks to ensure timeliness, quality, and efficiency.
- Schedule and assign work duties to meet priority needs.
- Act as project coordinator for building remodeling, including ordering, shipping, receiving goods, and planning/scheduling the endeavor.
- Monitor yearly inspections of fire systems and other safety precautions.
- Schedule maintenance requests for branch stores.
- Coordinate with outside vendors when workload requires.
- Assist with yearly inspections of fire systems and other safety precautions.
- Schedule and coordinate the setup of new branch locations.
- Manage daily workflow by establishing operating procedures, prioritizing, distributing, and monitoring work assignments.
- Assess employee skills and weaknesses to build the strongest possible team.
- Initiate training processes to address skill gaps and develop employees for their current positions.
Requirements
- High school diploma required.
- 3-5 years of previous supervisory experience.
- 3-5 years of previous mechanical/maintenance work experience.
- Excellent knowledge of safety practices.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to travel 11-25%.
- Clean driving record.
Physical Requirements
- Push/pull up to 25 lbs.
- Lift/carry up to 50 lbs; lift bulky objects.
- Standing, walking, using hands, talking, hearing, neck rotation, trunk rotation.
- Stair climbing, ladder climbing, repetitive bending, kneeling, sustained squat.
- Forward reaching, overhead reaching, fingering/grasping (e.g., using a bolt box).
- Able to drive long distances within Ziegler territory.
Working Conditions
May be indoor and/or outdoor. Noise level may be moderate at times.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $82,300.00 to $102,900.00. Starting wage depends on skills, experience, education, and location. Pay range may vary by 10% depending on the applicant’s location.
