Maintenance Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Plans, assigns, and supervises the work of the maintenance department during daily operations
• Reviews and ensures all operating and emergency procedures are being complied with in the Maintenance department
• Makes daily inspections of plant machinery and equipment; inspects ongoing activities for safety and environmental compliance, and for adherence to standard operating procedures
• Manages and coordinates maintenance activities to include but not limited to installing, inspecting, testing, repairing, adjusting, and calibrating all plant equipment and instrumentation
• Schedules and monitors performance of all outside contractors to ensure effective, safe plant maintenance and operation
• Maintains and develops record of plant maintenance, including work orders, P.M., lubrication planning, planned and unplanned outages and inspections
• Trains, develops, and evaluates performance of maintenance staff
• Troubleshoots equipment and assists in diagnosing problem areas
• Maintains positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, vendors, co-workers and management

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Associates degree from an accredited College or University in a technical field or equivalent
• 3 - 5 years' experience in a power plant environment or military background
• 1 - 3 years of supervisory or management experience
• Knowledge and understanding of the operation, maintenance and control of a steam generating power plant
• Proficient with Microsoft Software; Excel, Word, Office, etc.
• Experienced in using CMMST
• Travel may be required, 0 - 25%
• Flexibility to work nights during facility outages or major equipment projects as needed
• Assist the Maintenance Manager with implementation of a direct effective PM program, lubrication plans, installation, troubleshooting, cleaning, inspecting and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment throughout the facility in a safe and professional manner

Qualifications

• Preferred Requirements: Bachelor's or Associates degree from an accredited College or University in a technical field or equivalent desirable
• 3 - 5 years' experience in a power plant environment or military background
• 1 - 3 years of supervisory or management experience
• Knowledge and understanding of the operation, maintenance and control of a steam generating power plant
• Proficient with Microsoft Software; Excel, Word, Office, etc.
• Experienced in using CMMST
• Travel may be required, 0 - 25%
