Weyerhaeuser’s Plymouth, NC Lumber mill is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the Maintenance Team, reporting to the site Maintenance Manager. Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, manage, and provide effective leadership for the maintenance team.
- Ensure the safety of all associates by identifying and proactively addressing safety issues.
- Actively supervise and develop the maintenance team to ensure effective communication across and between shifts, and with production teams.
- Utilize preventive maintenance systems to reduce unscheduled downtime.
- Use reliable troubleshooting methods to ensure uptime, production volume, and quality goals are met.
- Maximize team technical skills through effective use of training resources.
- Use computerized maintenance management systems to prioritize maintenance requests, manage inventory, and delegate resources.
- Lead team meetings and training sessions.
- Identify safety, reliability, environmental, quality, and production issues.
- Coordinate activities with production teams to maximize productivity and minimize cost.
- Reduce waste and proactively address reliability concerns.
- Resolve employee issues, build teamwork, and ensure adherence to site policies and procedures in a fair and consistent manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- At least 3 years' experience in a supervisory role in an industrial environment.
- Proven ability to lead a team to meet department metrics and goals.
- Experience in leading and ensuring compliance with safety initiatives.
- Knowledgeable in hydraulics, air systems, mechanical drives, mechanical components, installation methods, troubleshooting and repair techniques, welding, and basic industrial electrical.
- Expertise in preventive and predictive maintenance methods.
- Ability to identify root causes of problems and initiate corrective action.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, and electronic communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships through coaching and development.
- Strong planning, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Strong work ethic and good judgment.
- Track record of leadership in safety, environmental, quality, productivity, and people development.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office and other Windows-based programs.
- Demonstrated results in achieving and sustaining business goals.
- Knowledge of Maintenance Planning software such as Maximo or SAP (preferred).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a related field.
- Working knowledge of business and financial concepts.

Pay
This role is eligible for an annual merit-increase program, with a targeted salary range of $81,313–$121,970 based on skills, qualifications, and experience. Eligible for an Annual Incentive Program offering a cash bonus targeting 7% of base pay, with potential plan funding ranging from zero to two times that target.
Schedule
Full-time, day shift (1st). Relocation assistance available.
