Maintenance Supervisor

About the role

Transdev in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the diesel technician team.

Responsibilities

• Assists with scheduling employees for the department, trains and coaches mechanics
• Maintains efficient repair schedules; inspects damaged units to estimate repair costs and time
• Establishes priority for maintenance and repairs based on materials and operational needs
• Controls and monitors inventory; examines worn or damaged parts and recommends replacements
• Ensures vehicles are fueled, cleaned, and functioning properly
• Enforces safety policies and procedures; maintains a safe working environment
• Ensures property, grounds, and facilities are clean and organized
• Performs other duties as required

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a diesel technician, demonstrating proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and related systems
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills, capable of managing and motivating a team
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, maintaining attention to detail and accuracy
• Subject to a DOT drug test and physical if applicable
