Job Responsibilities
- Communicate and collaborate with operations departments to schedule repairs, preventive maintenance, and reliability improvement projects.
- Prioritize and assign job tasks to appropriate crew members to ensure assignments are safely completed, with a focus on reliability-centered strategies and preventive maintenance.
- Manage and monitor predictive and preventive maintenance programs, including vibration analysis, infrared thermography, and lube oil analysis, to support equipment reliability, uptime, and safety.
- Analyze equipment performance data and maintenance records to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for reliability improvement.
- Complete and maintain documentation related to maintenance, purchasing, warehousing, HR, safety, and other related systems, accurately and on time.
- Interact with vendors to review new products and services to improve efficiency and safety, and to ensure work goals are completed.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to plan future projects; determine when major maintenance is required to eliminate production loss and manage processes to schedule parts, labor, and time.
- Maintain EHS (environmental, health, and safety) compliance by holding direct reports accountable for adherence to EHS policies, procedures, and best practices; evaluating employee EHS performance via field observations and document review; reporting and correcting unsafe acts or conditions, incidents, and deviations; and providing feedback to support continuous improvement in EHS performance.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of experience with mechanical maintenance
- Prior supervisor experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license
Education & Experience
- Basic skills with computer software, including Microsoft Office Suite, Maintenance Management Systems, HRIS (UKG), I-series (LIMS, ETMS), Budgeting (Adaptive), Invoicing (Dataserv)
- Proficient knowledge of respective areas equipment, repairs and troubleshooting (mobile, mechanical or electrical)
- Basic knowledge of reliability engineering principles, predictive maintenance tools, and continuous improvement methodologies preferred
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Regularly required to use a computer/tablet and phone/radio
- Frequently required to use non-powered and powered hand tools
- Occasionally required to use welding or cutting tools and personnel carriers
- Rarely required to use loading or hauling equipment
- Occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions and wet, humid, cold, or hot (non-weather) conditions
- Frequently required to work near moving mechanical parts
- May be exposed to moderate noise levels
- Regularly required to wear company-provided PPE, including but not limited to a respirator, ear protection, eye protection, foot protection
- Regularly required to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time, talk and hear
- Sometimes required to use repetitive motion and reach with hands/arms
- Requires clarity of vision and three-dimensional vision
- Regularly required to lift up to 15 pounds
- Occasionally required to lift 16-75 pounds
- Rarely required to lift 75-100 pounds
