About the role
This is a hands-on, working supervisor position. You will lead a team of Maintenance Technicians while completing maintenance work yourself, manage a budget, and ensure the community meets Riverstone Communities’ standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of Maintenance Technicians while completing hands-on maintenance work
- Manage an established budget without sacrificing quality
- Establish and maintain relationships with vendors
- Perform plumbing work: repair or replace faucets and toilets, operate a sewer cleanout auger, diagnose and repair simple water leaks
- Perform electrical work: install light fixtures, GFCIs, understand lightbulb wattage, replace breakers and fuses, replace outlets and light switches
- Perform carpentry work: build stairs and ramps, frame doors and windows, install landscaping timbers
- Complete additional residential repairs: replace/install floors, install siding and skirting, install/replace doors and windows, drywalling and painting
- Oversee curb appeal of the community, including:
- Picking up trash around the community
- Groundskeeping: lawn mowing, planting flowers, weeding/weed eating
- Completing clean outs of homes
- Read water meters for each home
- Finish work orders efficiently and timely
- Complete online/virtual training classes via computer or tablet
- Perform day-to-day duties with minimal supervision
- Adhere to all safety laws and regulations
- Conduct regular inventory checks on equipment and supplies
- Other duties as qualified and trained
Requirements
- Proven experience leading a team of 2+ members or managing multiple vendor agreements/relationships
- 3+ years of experience in residential or commercial property maintenance OR in a technical field such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC
- 3+ years of experience in groundskeeping and/or landscaping
- 3+ years of experience in some of the following: carpentry, painting (indoor/outdoor), flooring, drywalling, installing windows and doors, roofing, or framing
- Experience managing a maintenance budget while focusing on cost savings without sacrificing quality or standards
- Ability to be very active: walking, bending, standing, and lifting up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to work outside in all weather conditions
- Willingness to use and learn basic technology
- Valid driver’s license and ability to legally operate a motor vehicle
Specific maintenance knowledge and skills will be tested for accuracy.

$58,000–$71,000 annually
