About the role
Provide hands-on leadership to the maintenance team supporting our metal and aluminum extrusion and anodizing operations, ensuring effective proactive and reactive maintenance. This position reports to the Maintenance Manager. A vital member of the Maintenance Department, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Maintenance team and deliver both reactive and proactive multi-skilled maintenance across mechanical, electrical, and automated equipment, including total preventative maintenance and breakdown management.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of maintenance work while improving site operational effectiveness, project delivery, mean time between failure (MTBF), and overall downtime reduction.
- Implement and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that support operational goals and ensure adherence to all Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
- Drive technical excellence by supporting continuous improvement efforts, enforcing standard policies, procedures, and maintenance processes, while identifying deficiencies and recommending improvements.
- Mentor and guide team members while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and modern manufacturing principles through enhanced training, work practices, and process optimization.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in maintenance supervisor or management in a manufacturing environment; extrusion and anodizing experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong diagnostic capabilities with the ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, identify improvement opportunities, and successfully implement change.
- Hands-on industrial experience maintaining and repairing production equipment, including the installation, testing, and repair of electrical motors and hydraulic/pneumatic control systems.
- Proficiency with industrial electrical and electronic control systems; familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, and Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) methodologies is highly desirable.
- Work a flexible schedule, including weekends, as needed.
