Job Summary

The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department, maintain maintenance request logs, prioritize and satisfy maintenance requests, create maintenance procedures and schedules, coordinate third-party facility inspections, hire, train, and mentor the maintenance team, and perform various repairs and improvements using a variety of tools.

Responsibilities/daily Tasks

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department.
  • Maintain maintenance request log, prioritize, and satisfy maintenance requests.
  • Maintain preventative maintenance schedule and log to service systems as needed and or recommended by equipment manufacturer.
  • Create maintenance procedures and or schedules where necessary to ensure operations excellence.
  • Evaluate projects, produce quotes, source materials and or services when necessary.
  • Cook up coordination and assist with all third-party facility inspections.
  • Hire, train, and mentor the maintenance team.
  • Perform maintenance tasks such as repairs and improvements using a variety of hand, power, and or pneumatic tools.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Comply with safety regulations and properly utilize personal protective equipment.
  • Absorb and abide by all internal United CoolAir policies to foster a safe, efficient, and exciting work environment.
  • Collaborate with various departments when necessary to provide the highest quality product to your customers.
  • Serve as a member of the facility Safety Team, actively participating in safety initiatives, inspections, audits, incident investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement efforts to promote a safe and compliant work environment.

Qualifications

  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to think strategically, analytically driven, and organized.
  • Strong leadership skills, ability to learn and apply new concepts and overcome obstacles with change.
  • Ability to work with and influence others in a dynamic manufacturing environment, ability to work shifts as required.
  • Extensive knowledge of building systems.
  • Ability to identify and identify repairs as needed.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience and ability to work in a team setting.
  • Ability to work successfully with multiple business functions of an organization.
  • An entrepreneurial, self-motivated, positive individual who can think innovatively.
