Responsibilities

  • Responsible for supervising maintenance personnel, including hiring, employee development, performance management, annual reviews, and compensation decisions.
  • Provide accurate and consistent communication between the maintenance, production, and quality teams.
  • Supervise maintenance technicians and schedules to minimize equipment downtime and meet production goals.
  • Oversee the implementation and execution of preventative and predictive maintenance programs to ensure the reliability of automated packaging and brewery equipment.
  • Collaborate with the Packaging, Brewing, Cellars, Warehouse, and Quality Assurance teams to troubleshoot equipment failures, optimize production flow, and resolve maintenance-related issues.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Program Coordinator to maintain accurate parts data and guarantee supply availability in Just Foods, minimizing equipment downtime.
  • Oversee shift compliance with all safety regulations, including ensuring the correct personal protective equipment (PPE) is used per the prescribed safety protocols and LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures are strictly followed.
  • Communicate Key Performance Indicator (KPI's) related information to the team.
  • Point person for maintenance questions, concerns, and issues. Follow proper escalation to communicate issues to major stakeholders.
  • Participate in assigned project teams.
  • Exercises effective time management skills to prioritize daily and weekly tasks.
  • Prominent leader with a proven ability to drive continuous improvement across brewing, packaging, and quality processes to enhance consistency, efficiency, and demand fulfillment.

Requirements

  • 2 years' experience leading team(s) and processes.
  • Preferred Journeyman Maintenance Electrician with a Journeyman Electrical License or a Limited Maintenance Electrician license issued by the State of Oregon.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment.
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software or similar inventory management system.
  • Strong safety orientation.
  • Innovative team builder, individual & team motivator.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems effectively in a time-sensitive environment.
  • Must be flexible with workload and be able to accept change and adapt to an ever-changing production schedule.
  • Excellence in building relationships and strong communication with diverse personality types and audiences.

Qualifications

  • Must be physically able to perform all related jobs in the work area.
  • Able to stand, walk, and sit for a maximum of 3 hours prior to each break period.
  • Able to occasionally lift up to 70 lbs.
  • Able to transition from an office to a production environment multiple times per shift.

Skills

  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of brewery operations, including Brewing, Cellaring, Packaging, and Warehousing.
  • Experience with ERP systems or similar inventory management systems.
  • Strong safety orientation and adherence to safety protocols.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

Schedule

This position is full-time and operates on a standard 40-hour workweek, with occasional evening and weekend shifts required.
