Maintenance Supervisor

About the Role

Core Botanica is seeking a hands-on Maintenance & Fabrication Supervisor to lead maintenance operations at our growing processing facility in Central Oregon. We're looking for a skilled mechanic, fabricator, and problem solver who enjoys working with their hands, improving equipment, troubleshooting production challenges, and leading a small team. You'll supervise one Maintenance Technician while working closely with Production and Operations to keep equipment running safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Lead Maintenance Operations
  • Supervise and support daily activities of the maintenance team
  • Prioritize and coordinate maintenance work based on production needs
  • Partner closely with Production to minimize downtime
  • Help develop maintenance schedules, priorities, and preventive maintenance programs
  • Train and mentor maintenance personnel
• Fabricate, Repair & Improve Equipment
  • Perform welding and fabrication projects
  • Repair and maintain production equipment, rolling stock, and facility systems
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, water, and steam systems
  • Install, align, and commission equipment
  • Operate common shop equipment and perform basic machining using lathes and mills
• Drive Continuous Improvement
  • Build, modify, and improve equipment and processes
  • Support new equipment development and R&D projects
  • Identify opportunities to increase reliability, throughput, and efficiency
  • Develop practical solutions to recurring maintenance issues
  • Participate in capital improvement and equipment upgrade projects
• Manage the Shop
  • Maintain organized inventory, tools, and spare parts
  • Research parts and technical resources
  • Coordinate purchasing needs with management
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized maintenance shop
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, LOTO, and company safety standards

Requirements

• Required
  • 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience
  • Strong welding and metal fabrication skills
  • Experience troubleshooting mechanical equipment and industrial systems
  • Ability to read drawings, sketches, and technical information
  • Experience using shop tools and equipment safely
  • Valid driver's license
• Preferred
  • Previous maintenance leadership or supervisory experience
  • Food processing or manufacturing experience
  • Experience with machining equipment (lathe, mill)
  • Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and steam systems
  • Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience
