Maintenance Supervisor
About the role
HF Sinclair Refinery in Artesia, New Mexico is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance activities, provide direction to staff, evaluate performance, and coordinate with operations.
Responsibilities
- Oversees quality of work, safety, and performance of assigned staff
- Gives work direction to assigned employees in assigned area
- Evaluates assigned employees' job performance
- Aids engineering as needed
- Schedules equipment for repairs and construction (depending on assignment)
- Tracks head count and verifies timesheets to ensure cost and schedule compliance
- Performs on-call duties
- Issues confined space work permits
- Orders plant instrument process controls and indicators
- Inputs and closes Instrument & Electrical and MDI work orders and generates requisitions
- Maintains assigned Electrical and Instrumentation equipment in the plant, offices, and maintenance shops
- Performs special assignments or tasks as assigned by manager
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of related on-the-job experience and significant energy industry experience
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Basic knowledge of refinery operations
- Specific craft knowledge
- Good interpersonal skills, self-starter, and safety-sensitive
- Troubleshooting skills and ability to function effectively in a team atmosphere
- Special training in relevant areas may be required
- Special certifications may be required depending on craft and location
Preferred Skills
- Journeyman Electrical License and equipment operation
- CDC (190 Artesia & UT) preference, depending on craft and location
