Maintenance Supervisor

About the role

HF Sinclair Refinery in Artesia, New Mexico is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance activities, provide direction to staff, evaluate performance, and coordinate with operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversees quality of work, safety, and performance of assigned staff
• Gives work direction to assigned employees in assigned area
• Evaluates assigned employees' job performance
• Aids engineering as needed
• Schedules equipment for repairs and construction (depending on assignment)
• Tracks head count and verifies timesheets to ensure cost and schedule compliance
• Performs on-call duties
• Issues confined space work permits
• Orders plant instrument process controls and indicators
• Inputs and closes Instrument & Electrical and MDI work orders and generates requisitions
• Maintains assigned Electrical and Instrumentation equipment in the plant, offices, and maintenance shops
• Performs special assignments or tasks as assigned by manager

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of related on-the-job experience and significant energy industry experience
• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
• Basic knowledge of refinery operations
• Specific craft knowledge
• Good interpersonal skills, self-starter, and safety-sensitive
• Troubleshooting skills and ability to function effectively in a team atmosphere
• Special training in relevant areas may be required
• Special certifications may be required depending on craft and location

Preferred Skills

• Journeyman Electrical License and equipment operation
• CDC (190 Artesia & UT) preference, depending on craft and location
