About the role
The Overnight Maintenance Supervisor plays a crucial role in the Facilities Department of Harlem Children's Zone, a leading organization dedicated to breaking the cycle of intergenerational poverty through comprehensive, on-the-ground programming.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and oversee day-to-day maintenance work and activities to ensure proper and efficient maintenance within the facility.
- Train, supervise, and evaluate the performance of assigned maintenance staff and review work.
- Develop and prepare work schedules; review maintenance reports and work orders; prioritize and coordinate duties to ensure effective workflow.
- Coordinate responses to emergency calls.
- Prepare and maintain records, files, logs, and reports related to personnel, inventory, supplies, work requests, work performed, and safety issues as assigned.
- Conduct inspections of buildings and facilities to determine maintenance and repair needs and quality of work performed.
- Schedule shifts on Monday-Wednesday, 6PM-2AM, and Saturday-Sunday, 8AM-4PM.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Four years' experience responsible for maintenance
- Driver license preferred
- Must pass fingerprint background check and physical/TB test
- S95 Certification preferred/W07 Certification preferred
Who You Are
- Requires ability to communicate effectively
- Requires ability to lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 75 pounds
- Activities involve exposure to changes in temperature and humidity including dust, fumes, and gas smells
What You'll Do

The annual salary for this position is $50,000-$55,000 per year.
