About the role

Hampton Lumber is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor for their Darrington, Washington mill. The ideal candidate will oversee maintenance, repair, and reliability of sawmill equipment and lumber processing machinery, leading maintenance teams to minimize downtime, improve production efficiency, and ensure workplace safety.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee maintenance teams in performing preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime, improve production efficiency, and ensure workplace safety.
  • Coordinate equipment inspections, troubleshooting, parts inventory, and contractor activities while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
  • Work closely with production management to maximize operational performance, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Preferred Skills

  • Technical certifications preferred
  • 5+ years of millwright or related maintenance experience
  • Minimum 3 years in a supervisory or lead role, preferably in a sawmill or industrial environment
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
  • Proficiency in CMMS/planning systems and Microsoft Office
  • First Aid/CPR and PIT certification (or the ability to obtain them)

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
