Maintenance Supervisor

Emerson’s Appleton Foundry in South Milwaukee, WI is seeking a 1st-shift Maintenance Supervisor to improve and oversee maintenance operations, personnel, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enforce safety programs to ensure a safe environment for all employees.
• Supervise a maintenance team in daily tasks, including electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and facility repairs.
• Ensure equipment is maintained to comply with environmental requirements.
• Develop maintenance personnel, encouraging a team environment.
• Assist in developing and maintaining a Preventative Maintenance and Part Inventory program.
• Evaluate equipment and determine repairs needed to improve machine uptime.

Requirements

• 5+ years working in an iron foundry.
• 3+ years as a supervisor in a maintenance environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Ability to spend the majority of the day on the floor walking/standing.
• Ability to work weekends to support production, projects, or PM’s.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years working in a green sand iron foundry.
• Experience with Inductotherm Induction furnaces, Isocure core process and equipment, DISA molding equipment, Surface Combustion annealing ovens, and sand delivery systems.
• Experience working with contractors for various projects and tracking project timelines.
• Knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance programs to ensure maximum equipment uptime.
