About the Role

The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee day-to-day maintenance operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, including equipment maintenance and repair, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting. This hands-on leadership role involves managing a team of maintenance personnel to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety standards. Responsibilities include assigning preventative maintenance using an automated CMMS, maintaining asset inventory for production equipment, organizing the shop, assessing tool needs, managing equipment manuals, and ensuring sufficient spare parts for critical equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Create work schedules to ensure equipment is properly maintained.
  • Generate work orders using CMMS.
  • Evaluate work performance and enforce company policies.
  • Monitor employees and contractors to ensure compliance with safety and company policies.
  • Communicate maintenance-related activities and equipment statuses to management teams.
  • Prepare periodic reports, maintain records, and evaluate employee performance.
  • Monitor and schedule outside service.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by TAS Management Team.

Requirements

  • Five years of related experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong command of the English language, both written and verbal.
  • Prior supervisory experience.
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Certification in one or more of the following is a plus: Electrical, HVAC, Mechanical.

Skills

  • Supervisory and personnel management skills.
  • CMMS experience.
  • Equipment maintenance, repair, and preventive maintenance expertise.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a large team effectively.
  • Experience in the technology or industrial sector is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of facilities management practices and techniques.
  • Familiarity with basic safety procedures and equal employment practices.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and enforce safety regulations.
  • Availability to work overtime or outside normal schedule as required.
  • Highly organized, with a focus on scheduling and record-keeping.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Work performed in a shop environment.
  • Exposure to various elements, though none present to a disagreeable extent.
  • Requires normal vision; absence of color blindness.
  • Physical effort includes frequent moving of materials up to 50 lbs.
  • Regularly required to sit or stand, bend, and reach.
  • Use of PPE is mandatory.
  • Ability to stand up to 10 hours a day (with a lunch break) and up to 6 days a week.
  • Ability to work in a non-air-conditioned environment.
  • Steel-toe boots required in the manufacturing facility.
  • Tobacco-free workplace policy: no smoking or use of tobacco/nicotine products on premises or during work hours.
