Maintenance Supervisor
Job Summary
Oversees the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department. Evaluates systems or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed. Assesses production equipment to plan work assignments and project schedules. Develops maintenance procedures and schedules. Provides technical support to the production equipment, plant equipment, utility equipment, and overall mechanical integrity of the building.
Shift Details
Wed - Sat, 11:00 am to 9:00 pm EST. Relocation available.
Responsibilities
- Provides strong safety leadership and ensures that employee safety is the primary objective of the maintenance
- Ensures compliance with all safety
- Models safe behaviors and personal work
- Ensures maintenance personnel stays current with all required
- Provides feedback to direct reports through coaching, mid-year, and year-end
- Manages department vacation schedules to ensure adequate
- Reviews and approves timecards for the

- Ensures quality standards for maintenance work are
- Provides support in the hiring process for the staff in the maintenance
- Evaluates the department's training needs and assist in the

- Participates in Daily Direction Setting and other meetings as

- Interfaces with multiple functions with the plant, as well as WHQ Engineering, Process Safety, Product Development, Reliability, and network teams
- Ensures operational standards are executed with
- Ensures the proper application of the CMMS system to record preventive maintenance and repairs in the production
- Creates, schedules, implements, and manages a preventive maintenance program for production machinery and
- Evaluates jobs in the process and on completion to ensure products meet safety and work quality
- Procures materials, supplies, and repairs parts to maintain inventory as
- Work with the Maintenance Manager to suggest, plan, and oversee equipment needs and acquisition to maximize production efficiency and return
- Oversees and plans the layout of electrical and mechanical equipment; recommends and implements modifications to
- Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Food manufacturing maintenance and engineering experience preferred
- Computer skills – working knowledge of SAP, and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
- Operations experience with a strong understanding of various plant functions
- Strong drive and initiative to make improvements in a variety of areas with a minimum of supervision
- Strong commitment to personal development and growth
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills - relies on facts and data

Working Conditions
Physical Demands/Efforts: Must be willing to work all shifts, weekends, and some. Extensive walking. Work requires occasional physical exertion, including some lifting of objects weighing up to 50. Must be able to traverse property and facility to diagnose building issues and plan repairs or. Must be physically able to perform repairs when needed. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
Mental & Visual Demands: Work performed in this position requires moderate concentration to effectively execute moderately complex situations. Work occasionally requires some degree of visual effort.
Work Environment and Hazards: Employee works in a manufacturing setting with some exposure to heat, cold, dust, or other factors. The position has some exposure to hazards that might cause minor injury. Less than 25% travel is required for this. Travel would be to other sites via airplane. May need to work weekends or overtime as needed.
Pay
$85,000 - $95,000 USD/annually. Eligible for annual discretionary bonus program up to 10%.
