What You’ll Do & Key Responsibilities

  • Perform all maintenance tasks as needed, according to skills/abilities and consistent with regulations and facility policy.
  • Maintain operation and condition of equipment and systems.
  • Monitor and report problems or malfunctions immediately.
  • Assist housekeeping staff with heavy floor care, cleaning, trash collection, and removal.
  • Maintain outside walkways in a safe condition.
  • Maintain lawn and landscaping.
  • Assure facility or equipment modifications, preventive maintenance, or repairs are done in accordance with applicable procedures, codes, regulations, and laws.
  • Follow material safety data sheets (MSDS).
  • Follow waste disposal procedures in accordance with facility policy.
  • Assist in inspections, fire and disaster drills, and training.
  • Use equipment, tools, supplies, and chemicals according to instructions, observing safety precautions and protective measures.

Qualifications

  • Enjoy hands-on work and experience.
  • Have interest in creating and maintaining a home-like atmosphere.
  • Provide general upkeep and implement a preventative maintenance program.
  • Be proficient with tools and equipment for basic repair work.
  • Have passion for providing excellent customer service to our residents.
