About the role

We're seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to lead the day-to-day maintenance operations and ensure compliance with Avenue5 policies and regulations. This position involves managing the maintenance team, responding to maintenance issues, and overseeing property emergencies.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with Avenue5 policies and local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Manage the maintenance team, including scheduling and supervising tasks.
  • Respond to maintenance-related issues promptly and professionally.
  • Perform various maintenance tasks, including electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repairs.
  • Oversee property emergencies and collaborate with property leadership.
  • Maintain property grounds, buildings, and common areas to ensure safety and cleanliness.
  • Conduct pre-move-in and post-move-out inspections and ensure timely unit turns.
  • Mentor the maintenance team and promote a positive environment.
  • Communicate with property leadership and address maintenance issues.
  • Monitor supplier compliance and contribute to the property's budget.
  • Complete special projects and participate in on-call rotations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least three years of experience in property management or a related field.
  • General maintenance and carpentry skills.
  • A valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and current auto insurance.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical functions and cope with challenging situations.
  • Professional appearance and adherence to uniform policy.
  • Completion of Avenue5 Fair Housing, Diversity and Inclusion Training within 30 days of employment.

Skills

  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Proficiency in using office equipment and software.

Pay

$28 to $32 per hour.

Schedule

Monday-Friday | 7:30am-3:00pm.
