MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR - 3RD SHIFT

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Supervise plant maintenance team members, providing leadership and direction to plant maintenance department
  • Responsible for repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment in manufacturing operations.
  • Aid in developing preventative maintenance programs, ordering parts and materials, maintaining and organizing inventory and entering work orders for maintenance tasks
  • Supervising, planning, and implementing maintenance activities in the plant to maximize production while adhering to standard safety practices and procedures, environmental, and legal requirements
  • Drive employee engagement, training, and development to maximize manufacturing, quality, safety, and productivity goal attainment
  • Participate in plant HAZMAT team
  • Schedule and direct workforce assigning projects to appropriate personnel, track attendance in Kronos system correcting any errors when necessary
  • Conduct safety meetings and safety audits
  • Perform PMs, manage cost of R&M and communicate results and action plans to appropriate employees and managers
  • Manage maintenance department costs within budgetary guidelines

Experience Required

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required or technical schooling degree with mechanical or electrical emphasis
  • 2 years’ directly related mechanical experience necessary
  • Previous supervisory position preferred but not required
  • Welding and electrical experience preferred but not required

Skills/Abilities Required

  • Must be able to work in extreme temperatures, flexible hours and some weekends
  • Must be able to write and speak English
  • Ability to perform general mathematical calculations
  • Strong leadership and critical thinking skills and be able to manage conflict
  • Ability to lift upwards of 60 pounds and stand/ walk for extended periods of time
  • Knowledge of HACCP
  • Willingness to travel at least 25% of the time
