About the role
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor at our Denver, CO plant, you will lead the 3rd shift team members in the maintenance department to ensure production lines, affiliated equipment, and facilities operate efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Schedule work and workforce to meet production demands
- Maintain the preventative maintenance system
- Strive to exceed the plant’s safety and uptime goals
- Help establish mechanical integrity and equipment reliability programs
- Leverage internal and external resources to provide daily direction and solutions for the workforce
- Train, motivate, and direct employees to follow safe work methods and standard procedures for efficient use of resources
- Monitor downtime occurrences and production line efficiencies, identifying maintenance and mechanical trends
- Maintain equipment for efficient operation within budget while adhering to union contract and USDA regulations
- Drive continuous improvement in maintenance team performance and production line efficiencies
- Participate in predictive and preventive maintenance activities
- Evaluate PM/PDM activities and frequencies to optimize workforce and resources for maximum equipment reliability
- Ensure a safe and healthy workplace by following all safety procedures and incorporating safety into every task
- Foster a team concept that prioritizes personnel safety, food safety, and uptime
- Follow GMPs, maintain sanitary conditions, and ensure product quality standards are met
- Report any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, product quality, or personnel safety
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- 3+ years of supervisory or leading teams experience
- Working knowledge of plant equipment and safety standards
- Experience with preventive maintenance program
