Maintenance Supervisor - 2nd shift

Essential Job Duties

• Directs the operations and maintenance of steam, mechanical, compressed air, water and refrigeration systems to provide uninterrupted service.
• Plans and establishes machinery production settings (steam pressure, temperature, tonnage of press, etc.) so that equipment runs with the proper settings.
• Develops, schedules, and controls a preventative maintenance program to maintain production machinery and equipment.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates mechanical maintenance personnel.
• Responsible for the activities of all maintenance personnel & contractors to ensure that high standards of workmanship and safety are maintained.
• Ensures proper maintenance of facility machinery and buildings.
• Solves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
• Recommends, plans, and implements equipment needs to improve production efficiency and/or achieve desired results.
• Identifies cost reduction opportunities.
• Utilizes technical expertise to implement or oversee the implementation of cost reduction ideas suggested by self and others.
• Maintains inventories of maintenance material, supplies, and repair parts at required levels by initiating requisitions for purchase; periodically reviews inventory for proper upkeep for plant facilities.
• Directs the work of outside contractors. Ensures high standards of safety are developed, met & maintained.
• Affirms compliance with all related TS 16949 & ISO 14001 procedures and requirements.
• Affords assistance in providing and maintaining a safe workplace.
• Manages employees in the Maintenance Department and is responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of this unit.
