Job Description

The SR400 Express Lanes Project is a transformative $4.6 billion infrastructure initiative led by SR400 Constructors, a 50/50 joint venture between Ferrovial Dragados and ACCIONA. Commissioned by the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) and Georgia State Road and Tollway Authority (SRTA), the project will add two 16-mile express lanes from Sandy Springs MARTA Station (Exit 5) to McFarland (Exit 12), enhancing mobility along one of Georgia’s busiest corridors.

Requirements

• Achieved peak workforce of over 500
• Includes dedicated bus rapid transit stations and significant improvements to the corridor
• Construction began in late 2022, with substantial completion anticipated in 2031

Qualifications

• High School diploma or higher with relevant work experience in Construction or Maintenance
• 7 years’ work experience in construction and/or road maintenance industry (preferred)
• Prior experience in a leadership role (highly preferred)

• Developing working relationships with colleagues, advisors, contractors, etc. across office locations and time zones

• Performing condition assessment of pavements, signs, guardrails, bridges, vegetation and other contract infrastructure and assets
• Scheduling and coordinating work to be performed
• Assisting with roadway characteristics inventory
• Determining the best approach (self-performance or sub-contract) for bringing assets into contract compliance considering cost, timelines, and efficiency
• Planning and coordinating work plan schedules
• Inspecting in-process and completed work to ensure compliance with contract requirements
• Selecting, developing, and managing maintenance crews
• Facilitating all required new hire training and ongoing required safety and work standard training
• Being available outside of normal business hours as needed, and participating in an on-call rotation on nights, weekends and holidays as may be needed
• Always available to all incident emergencies and coordinating work of on-site responders
• Reporting accident/injury (actual and near misses)
• Assisting in the inspection of fleet
• Managing, monitoring, and controlling highway project assets and materials
• Identifying opportunities for changes and improvements in work methods, processes, efficiency, and cost reduction
• Creating and managing successful completion of all work orders
• Preparing other reports and correspondence as necessary
• Identifying, qualifying subcontractors, and assisting in negotiating contract parameters with sub-contractors
• Assisting and monitoring routine work plan activities such as traffic control and maintenance work
